Grades 9-10:  Mrs. Sternhagen will be in to talk with you about some important items for next year.  All sophomores and freshmen can sign up for the PSAT/NMSQT test and sophomores can register to take the ASVAB.  If you are going to be absent you must see Mrs. Sternhagen to sign up!

ASVAB –  All juniors and seniors considering the military should take the free ASVAB as well as any other interested student.  The test focuses on traditional test subjects such as math, reading, English, science but also adds sections on shop and technical knowledge.

PSAT – All juniors and sophomores with A or B grade point averages who like a challenge should consider taking the PSAT for the junior National Merit Scholarship corporation competition.  The PSAT is the National Merit qualifying exam and is given in Groton in October of the junior year.  If a student scores highly on the PSAT, he may qualify for several great scholarships.  Students register now to take the PSAT next fall.  More information about the PSAT can be found at the website:  https://www.collegeboard.org/psat-nmsqt.   The PSAT is also just a good test to take as it is a timed, nationally normed test.  This test costs around $16 which would need to be paid next fall.  Sophomores may take the PSAT as a practice test.

Grade 11:  If you are taking Dual Credit in Fall 2018, please see Mrs. Sternhagen for your Smarter Balanced scores.
