Marching Band Festival: Students will be dismissed for the marching band festival at 9:45. Students will BE REQUIRED to walk with/sit with/return with their class and classroom teacher. Students are not allowed to go to their vehicles on the way to the parade, so please bring your coats, hats, gloves, and blankets with you in the morning when you come to school. Students will return to the class they left from to be dismissed either to lunch or to their next class, depending on what time it is upon returning. Teachers will take attendance upon returning to the school building/classroom, before students are either dismissed to their next class or to lunch.
5th Hour Choir Students: Friday, October 12th the 5th hour choir students will meet in the Library Conference Room for study hall.
Picture day is Thursday, October 18.

Grades 9-12: Nurse For A Day at Presentation College on either November 2 from 10 – 2 or February 15. Observe and take part in Avera Simulation Center demonstrations, practice injections and taking vitals, visit with a panel of Presentation College faculty and students, and more. Lunch is included. Grades 9-12: Ready SET-Go! One Day (Saturday, Nov. 3 from 9-5) workshop for high school girls (Science, Engineering, and Technology.) Learn about engineering, math, and science through hands-on activities, interaction with professionals, and learn about careers. Grade 12: Serve as a page in the SD legislature for a two-week window starting in January. Great opportunity to learn about the legislative process and to meet students from across SD. Grade 12: Wendys Heisman: Scholarship opportunity and recognition for scholar/athletes. School, state, region, and national winners are selected. Fill out the application online. It must be verified by a school official – put me or a teacher (coach who is teacher), or administrator as the Reviewer (Jodi.Sternhagen@k12.sd.us). The reviewer must write a recommendation so choose someone who knows you well. No relatives may be recommenders. Please make sure your GPA (unweighted), class rank and ACT scores are accurate. Unweighted GPA’s are found on your transcript. The deadline is October 17, 2018 at 3 pm.
