Grade 12 Wendys Heisman:  Scholarship opportunity and recognition for scholar/athletes.  School, state, region, and national winners are selected.   Fill out the application online.  It must be verified by a school official – put me or a teacher (coach who is teacher), or administrator as the Reviewer (Jodi.Sternhagen@k12.sd.us).  No relatives may be recommenders.   Please make sure your GPA (unweighted), class rank and ACT scores are accurate.   Unweighted GPA’s are found on your transcript.  The deadline is October 2, 2017.  In order to insure that the verification process goes smoothly, please complete the application by September 25, 2017 as the site is too busy later in the week.   www.wendysheisman.com.

1) Homecoming/Manners and Respect: Happy Homecoming 2017!  As all of you move through your homecoming week and participate in extra activities that will take you out of the building, please be mindful of your manners and remember that you are representing Groton Area High School in all that you do.  Make us proud!

2) Backpacks– Students, please remember to keep your backpacks in your locker when you are not using them, this is the only approved location!  See me if you have questions!

3) Lunch time- In the gym!  All students are required to be in the gym during your lunch hour.  Detention will be issued for anyone found roaming the building during your lunch hour.  Please see me if you have questions!

4) Who’s doing good?!  Keep doing good, keep letting me know when students, teachers, or others who work in our building are going out of their way to make this a great place to be.  Be the change you want to see in the world!  Go Tigers!
