Good luck to the Robotics team at Douglas High School on Saturday!

 

Just a reminder, Snow Queen practice is at 6pm on Saturday night in the old gym, and interviews begin Sunday at 2pm.

 

Snow Queen Contest is Sunday at 7:00 p.m. in the gym.

 

All-School Play is Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

 

Lunch line order will change Monday, November 18     1st Lunch 8, 7, 6      2nd Lunch 9, 12, 11, 10

 

Congratulations to the following band students for being accepted into the North Area Honor Band in December. Kayla Jensen (Flute), Rease Jandel (Bass Clarinet), Samantha Pappas (Bari Sax), Cole Bisbee (Baritone), Braden Freeman (Tuba). GREAT JOB!

 

Groton will play McCook Central/Montrose on Thursday, November 21 at 4:30 Mountain Time/5:30 Central Time.  No school on Thursday, November 21 and Friday, November 22.

 

#AnnaStrong Bracelets are for sale in the library.  Bring $2 and you can buy a bracelet from Mrs. Madsen.  There are youth and adult sizes available.  Proceeds go to Anna’s family to help with medical costs, as she continues her fight against Leukemia. Thank you for supporting Anna Fliehs and her family!!

Those riding the Fan Bus for the SoDak 16 need to be on the bus between 1:30 at 1:40 the bus will depart at 1:45. Reminder to check out at the office prior to leaving the building.  For more information contact Chelsea Hanson.

The United Methodist Church is having their annual Fall Dinner this Sunday, November 10 from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm.  They are serving roast beef, mashed potatoes, corn, and delicious homemade desserts. Cost for the meal is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6 and up, and ages 5 and younger eat free.

Emmanuel Luther Church is hosting Gospel Solutions to Social Issues.   Suicide and Bullying is the topic on November 6th.  Light meal at 5:45 with the seminar starting at 6:30 p.m.   No charge to attend.  Free will offering.

Groton will host two Class A Region 1 Volleyball matches on Tuesday, November 5.  Student activity tickets and adult passes cannot be used.  $4 Students   $6 Adults
The first game, Redfield vs. TZ, will begin at 6:00 PM and the second game, Groton Area vs. Sisseton, will follow.
