Student Bulletin – Monday, 1/8/18

All One-Act cast and crew will meet on the stage at 3:30 today to discuss moving set items to the elementary for the mandatory rehearsal with Brian Schultz.

One-Act play rehearsal tonight (Monday, January 8th) from 4:00-6:00 in the elementary commons.  All rehearsals, especially this one, are absolutely mandatory.  We have someone coming to critique so it’s imperative we are a full cast.  Please bring all props and any costuming items that you need.  We have less than a month; it’s time!

There will be an open-dress rehearsal on January 22nd at 6:30pm in the high school gym.  All are welcome to attend; please spread the word and tell your families.  This is the day before region contest!

MathCounts meets Tuesday morning, beginning at 7:45 a.m., in preparation for Wednesday’s Simmons Invitational MathCounts Competition.

A small copper bracelet was found after the Webster basketball game.  Come to the office to identify it.

FCCLAers – bring your two 2 liter pops for “Shoot for a Pop” by Tuesday, January 9!!!

Grades 11-12  ACT:  Registration for the Feb. 10 test is due online by Jan. 12 .  Register   and pay with a credit card.  You will test in Aberdeen but be sure to list Groton as your home school.  Remember you must upload a photo to register and then print the admission ticket.  Fee waivers are available – stop by the GO.  Other test dates are: April 14, June, July, Sept. Oct. and Dec

Grades 11-12:  All students in grades 11-12 will attend a presentation about the Build Dakota Scholarship and Industry Partners programs on Tuesday, January 9 from 11:30 – 12:14 in the high school arena.  Students will go to the presentation and sit with their teachers.  Interested parents, business professionals and community members are also invited to attend the presentation.

Grades 9-12:  Any student interested in pre-medicine for a career  – We will have a guest speaker at GHS tomorrow.  See Mrs. Sternhagen today if you are interested in attending a 30 minute presentation and question and answer session.
